People love free stuff. From the days of cavemen, humans have sought out possessions of high value that cost them zippo.

Here's a few freebie wallpapers to whet the appetite — more will be coming, once I figure out how to juggle work time and free-time-that-is-actually-work-time.

Enjoy, and feel free to send in requests!

Iron Man Life Sized Bust >

There's not much else I can say about this but... "wow". Sideshow says:

"Iron Man has been captured in 1:1 scale in his unique powered armor, taken directly from the molds used to create the film costume. The bust is cast in high-quality fiberglass, hand finished and hand painted to exacting standards, and features LED light-up glowing eyes."

Glowing eyes! OMG! Must go lie down...

< Thor Premium Format Figure

Bowen brought out a Thor statue quite a few years back, and it's now one of the hottest second-hand statues on the market. With the announcement that there's a movie in the works, this statue could be the next big thing.

Dr Jones >

I *think* I like this... very realistic, unless you've recently seen "The Crystal Skull". Age shall not weary them, it only makes them stronger... or something like that.

Blood Elf Rogue VS Draenei Paladin diorama >

I was sceptical when they announced they were bringing out "official" World of Warcraft statues — the game models themselves are so rough, how could they translate to a collector's piece?

Fortunately, they've produced something really special — the kinetic energy in this diorama is palpable...

< Iron Man MkII 12" Figure

Although this is "just" a posable figure, I still can't get over Stan Winston's amazing design. Again, this figure takes batteries to make the appropriate bits glow. Brilliant.

"Diplomatic Mission" >

Something very satisfying about Darth Vader throttling the life out of a silly hat-wearing rebel. About time they immortalised the moment into a statue.
